The client brief
Home to many hidden gems, the tourism board of Scotland, VisitScotland wanted to shed light on iconic Scottish locations as well as locations that fly under the global radar.
They approached The Walt Disney Company to run a campaign that highlighted both.
my role and response
As the creative lead on this project, I was tasked to create and pitch an online campaign that would win over the Visit Scotland team, and manage the creative execution in a way that would win over their target audience.
Wanting to appeal to mothers and fathers, sons and daughters alike “Disney’s Scottish Inspirations” was born.
I wanted to shed light on iconic Scottish locations that inspired stories, particularly stories under the Disney franchise, drawing on nostagalia and inviting our audience to visit Scotland and write their own magical story.

The culmination and execution of my concept and strategy, alongside the talent and production team and media team created a successful multimarket digital campaign. it created an short documentary, social amplication through reels and cutdowns and a photogallery on the National Geographic website written by me.
Disney has dressed Scotland in fiction, overlaying its land and cityscapes with films and fables, and the nation has delivered a magical performance every time.
